Operation Danube - it was the code name for the Warsaw Pact invasion of Czechoslovakia in August 1968. The movie was filmed by the director's own theatre play.

Among Polish tanks that went to "liberate" the neighbor is also an old tank "Ladybug." He comes out of the barracks last, hopelessly lost and wound collapses somewhere at the Czech border. The inhabitants of the region do not hide their resistance to the occupation. However, when both parties find out that they are the victims of the situation and that they are able to agree with each other, the participants begin to develop a variety of relationships. They have to repaire the tank, try Czech dumplings and maybe even fall in love. The film does not focus on portraying contemporary ideology, but shows history from the perspective of a common men.
